Start the New Year with some excellent music at The Echo and The Echoplex in Echo Park, Los Angeles. Spend 2017 dancing at these amazing music venues where some of the biggest names in music as well as local talent plays on a regular basis. The Echo and its sister venue The Echoplex are known as big venues featuring independent music in L.A. These venues are also known for some of the “best club nights in Los Angeles.” You can get in free on Mondays (“Monday Night Music”), book tickets to see your favorite bands, check out new, local talent, come for dance nights, spoken word performances and/or all ages nights. The Echo recently hosted the Echo 15th Anniversary festivities.

The Echo, located at 1822 W Sunset Blvd, Los Angeles, California, is open every day between 9 pm and 2 am. It has hosted performances by Green Day, Incubus, Beck, Pixies, LCD Soundsystem, Air Traffic, Foster the People, Rancid, The Rolling Stones, The Decemberists, W.A.C.O., and more. You can park on the street for free or pay for valet at the venue. While in The Echo, you can order drinks at the full bar and enjoy Two Boots Pizza, which provides gluten-free and vegan choices. You will need an ID and be 18 or older to enter, unless you’re going to an all ages event.
The Echoplex, which is larger than The Echo, is located downstairs at 1154 Glendale Blvd. The separate entrance is through the alley. Bands like NIN, Thom Yorke, Wire, Kid Congo & the Pink Monkey Birds, The Mars Volta, the Sadies and the Adolescents, and more have performanced at this famous club. Separate admission is required to enter The Echoplex. You may have heard it referred to as “below The Echo,” since it is directly below it. There’s also an outdoor patio with an area for smoking.

The Echo and The Echoplex offer a weekly newsletter and a blog that both publish and share news and information about upcoming events and concerts. These night clubs also have a big social media presence and a website where you can book tickets in advance. You can pay cash at the door, but many events sell out ahead of time.
